I am a freelance translator and interpreter, with a focus on the fields of law, finance and business. I translate and interpret from English to Polish and vice versa, and translate from German to Polish and English. I am a certified (sworn) translator and interpreter of English in Poland.
Apart from my own translation business that I started in 2017, I gained hands-on experience in an international furniture group where I translated and revised documents from all areas of the group’s activity as well as interpreted at management board meetings or during negotiations with business partners and trade unions.
I graduated from the University of Warsaw’s renowned Institute of Applied Linguistics and I continuously improve my skills. I regularly participate in training courses for translators and in translation industry conferences. In 2018, I passed a Polish state examination to become a certified translator and interpreter of English.
Qualified electronic signature
In addition to the traditional form of certification with the use of the sworn translator’s round seal, I offer the service of certification with a qualified electronic signature (QES) pursuant to eIDAS Regulation. Such signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature. Certification of translation with the use of QES is provided for in the Polish Act of 25 November 2004 on the Profession of Sworn Translator.
Translation and interpreting
INCLUDING CERTIFIED TRANSLATION
My services include translation (certified and regular) and interpreting. Depending on customer needs, I certify my translations with the use of my official round seal or the qualified electronic signature.

One page of regular translation has 1800 characters including spaces, and one page of certified translation – 1125 characters including spaces. The quotation also depends on the degree of difficulty of the given text and the completion deadline.
The price of an interpreting job is calculated on the basis of the amount of time to be spent by the interpreter on the job, while the minimum unit of time on the Polish market is a 4-hour block.
The rates for translating/interpreting in proceedings conducted pursuant to statute, at the request of a court, public prosecutor, the police and public administration bodies, are stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Justice of 24 January 2005 on remuneration for the services of sworn translators and interpreters.
